Downtown Albany Landmark Sold – Represented by Carrow’s Rudy Lynch
Carrow Real Estate Services is proud to announce the sale of 44 State Street, the former home of the historic Jack’s Oyster House in downtown Albany. The transaction was handled by Rudy Lynch, associate broker at Carrow, who represented longtime owner Brad Rosenstein.
The four-story, 13,300-square-foot property closed on March 31 for $625,000. Originally listed for $1.399 million, the sale reflects Rudy’s market knowledge and strategic guidance in navigating today’s shifting commercial landscape.
Jack’s Oyster House, a fine-dining institution for over 110 years, permanently closed in 2022. The Jack’s brand name was included in the sale, and there are early signs the new owner—Neo Vista 44 State Street LLC—may continue the legacy in some form.
This marks Rudy’s second recent deal with a buyer investing in downtown Albany, following the sale of 52 James Street for $1.325 million.
At Carrow, we’re proud to play a role in shaping the future of downtown. Congratulations to all parties involved!
